Old Fort Erie is a Canadian historical site of military importance located in the Town of Fort Erie, Ontario, across the Niagara River from Buffalo, New York.
Old Fort Erie is Ontario’s oldest British Fort circa 1764, and site of many bloody battles and sieges throughout its storied history.
When the United States declared war on June 18, 1812 the fort was still under construction.
